En el modelo desarrollado se considera el regimen transitorio del lecho, las variaciones radiales y axiales de la velocidad del fluido, campo de temperaturas, coeficientes de transporte y porosidad del lecho. El problema de conduccion en el interior de la particula se resuelve a partir de un metodo de variables de estado.  el modelo se ha resuelto numericamente mediante un metodo de diferencias finitas implicito en la discretizacion temporal y central en la espacial.  los resultados obtenidos se validan con datos experimentales de otros autores. Mediante un analisis de sensibilidad se cuantifica la influencia de diferentes parametros de dise\u00f1o en el comportamiento del lecho como sistema de almacenamiento de energia. Se analizan entre otros el medio de almacenamiento, el caudal masico de energia y la geometria del lecho. Por ultimo se estudian diferentes simplificaciones del modelo en funcion de variables geometricas y de operacion caracteristicas del lecho.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
