Aparece ligado a la pol\u00e9mica sobre la ciencia espa\u00f1ola, protagonizada por su colaborador y continuador marcelino men\u00e9ndez pelayo.  el objetivo de este trabajo no se centra en el an\u00e1lisis de su participaci\u00f3n en esa defensa de la existencia de una filosof\u00eda o ciencia  espa\u00f1ola, sino en determinar la naturaleza de su mismo pensamiento filos\u00f3fico. Se ha tomado como punto de vista desde el que efectuar ese an\u00e1lisis el tema de la armon\u00eda.  la tesis a defender, pues, es que la armon\u00eda es un concepto central en el pensamiento filos\u00f3fico de laverde. Se trata ante todo de definir en qu\u00e9 medida se le puede atribuir a laverde una filosof\u00eda, y m\u00e1s precisamente, si es la armon\u00eda el eje central de esa filosof\u00eda.  en consecuencia, el presente estudio se propone, ante todo, la determinaci\u00f3n del concepto de armon\u00eda en laverde, para verificar, despu\u00e9s, en qu\u00e9 medida ese concepto dirige todos los trabajos de laverde en los campos de la filosof\u00eda, la literatura y la instrucci\u00f3n p\u00fablica, que son los asuntos principales por \u00e9l tratados en su obra.  en definitiva, se puede concluir del mismo que el presupuesto filos\u00f3fico, que no la filosof\u00eda, de laverde es armonismo est\u00e1 caracterizado fundamentalmente por dos dimensiones, la recuperaci\u00f3n de la tradici\u00f3n filos\u00f3fica espa\u00f1ola o ib\u00e9rica, y la acomodaci\u00f3n al pensamiento de la iglesia cat\u00f3lica.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
