Esta es la \u00fanica enzima capaz de reducir directamente los hidroper\u00f3xidos de los lipidos de membrana. En esta tesis se ha clonado una regi\u00f3n de este gen con actividad promotora, pero no se ha conseguido demostrar que se active diferencialmente tras el tratamiento con tnfalfa, aunque s\u00ed se activa por presencia de suero, lo que sugiere una regulaci\u00f3n post-transcripcional del mrna  ensayos de run on han descartado una activaci\u00f3n transcripcional por el tratamiento con tnfalfa, confirmando, por tanto, la hip\u00f3tesis de regulaci\u00f3n post-transcripcional. debido a la gran importancia que tiene los hidroper\u00f3xidos de l\u00edpidos en el control de la producci\u00f3n de mutaciones y en el control de la apoptosis, se decidi\u00f3 estudiar el efecto de este gen en una serie de tumores humanos de mama, encontr\u00e1ndose que la expresi\u00f3n de este gen se reprime en los tumores frente a los tejidos no tumorales y que la represi\u00f3n se correlaciona negativamente con el grado de diferenciaci\u00f3n tumoral.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
