Entre otras aplicaciones, destacan las del campo como sustituyente del enamorado, la amada o acciones amatorias; met\u00e1foras agr\u00edcolas que ilustran el seruitium amoris;  iugum para expresar la relacion amorosa; union dee plantas o animales para referirse a la union entre enamorados; imagen de la flor y su relacion con el tema del carpe diem; belleza de las amadas descrita mediante im\u00e1genes agr\u00edcolas.  capitulo ii.- Metaforas nauticas: papel que juega el mar en el discidium de los enamorados; ilustraci\u00f3n de la renuntiatio amoris; topico del nauigium amoris por el que una relacion amorosa se equipara a la navegaci\u00f3n por mar.  capitulo iii.- Met\u00e1foras venatorias. Cupido descrito como cazador. La amada o el  amado como presa de caza que trata de huir. Expresi\u00f3n de los enga\u00f1os que sufren los enamorados mediante la imagen de las redes. Se intenta defender que capere en un contexto no definido tiene mas un sentido venatorio (capturar) que militar (conquistar). Importancia de las im\u00e1genes venatoriass en las ars amatoria de ovidio, debido al car\u00e1cter did\u00e1ctico de la obra.  capitulo iv.- La casa en la poesia amatoria. La casa llega a convertirse en s\u00edmbolo de la amada. La puerta abierta o cerrada representa la aceptaci\u00f3n o el rechazo del pretendiente. La puerta va adquiriendo un sentido er\u00f3tico: detenerse en el umbral, estar la puerta abierta o cerrada, estar dentro de la casa, ser duro el umbral, traspasar el umbral, todas esas expresiones se refieren al hecho er\u00f3tico.
