Este es un experimento por confinamiento magnetico con una configuracion de los campos de tipo rfp (reversed field pinch o pinch de campo invertido). El interferometro ha permitido la medida de la densidad electronica del plasma, de importancia fundamental durante las descargas, y el bajo error (&lt;2%) de la medida ha permitido un estudio de las fluctuaciones de dicha densidad. Se ha establecido una hipotesis sobre la distribucion espacial de las fluctuaciones y tambien la relacion existente con las fluct.
