En esencia se abordan dos cuestiones, el efecto tama\u00f1o del detector y el c\u00e1lculo en medios heterog\u00e9neos de baja densidad analizando tanto sus efectos metrol\u00f3gicos como de c\u00e1lculo y sus implicaciones cl\u00ednicas mediante simulaciones en un planificador de tratamientos de radioterapia. el efecto tama\u00f1o del detector ocasiona una degradaci\u00f3n de las medidas de los perfiles de radiaci\u00f3n en la zona de penumbr, aumentando esta con lo cual el efecto cl\u00ednico final es la sobreirradiaci\u00f3n de los \u00f3rganos de riesgo cercanos al volumen blanco tumoral. En esta tesis se analiza este problema encontrando soluciones matem\u00e1ticas basadas en la deconvoluci\u00f3n de perfiles o bien en el empleo de detectores de radiaci\u00f3n de tama\u00f1o apropiado. En cuanto al c\u00e1lculo en medios heterog\u00e9neos se analiza el c\u00e1lculo de los algoritmos de superposici\u00f3n frente a los algoritmos cl\u00e1sicos.
