En esta tesis se plantea que la incorporacion de algunas de las ideas basicas del analisis en flujo, asi como el uso de las derivadas de los espectros abre un abanico grande de posibilidades para realizar determinaciones directas cuantitativas aun en matrices complejas. En ese sentido se han desarrollado procedimientos rapidos y sencillos para la determinacion de agua en disolventes organicos y de determinacion de etanol en bebidas alcoholicas en el infrarrojo proximo, tambien se exploro y exploto la posibilidad de realizar estos analisis en el ir medio, con lo que se potencian las posibilidades de utilizar el ir medio en sistemas acuosos. Finalmente se desarrollaron una serie de procedimientos para la derminacion de benceno, tolueno y mtbe en gasolinas, que representan una alternativa valida de analisis frente a los metodos
