A partir de aqui, se pretende esbozar un posible modelo de analisis capaz de enfrentarse a los multiples discursos verbo-iconicos presentes en la sociedad actual. Entre estos, el discurso mural (conocido internacionalmente como \u00abgraffiti\u00bb -en catalan, \u00abgrafiti\u00bb, de acuerdo con la propuesta de la tesis, presentada en este idioma), es, sin duda, el mas celebrado, el mas superficialmente conocido, a la vez que el mas ignorado desde el punto de vista discursivo. Se pretende, pues, ofrecer una teoria del grafiti en tanto que realidad semiotica susceptible de ser homologada con los discursos hegemonicos de nuestra sociedad (literatura, publicidad, television, etc.).
