El mcg contiene factores de crecimiento y antioxidantes. la presencia de los factores de crecimiento y la uni\u00f3n a sus receptores trks, induce un incremento en los niveles de ampc, que activa a pka. La pka en su forma activa sobre la inducci\u00f3n del fenotipo dopamin\u00e9rgico. La activaci\u00f3n de pka tambi\u00e9n activa a su vez pi3k, proteina quinasa implicada en la supervivencia celular, y a erk1\/2 que interviene tanto en procesos de supervivencia como en la inducci\u00f3n del fenotipo dopamin\u00e9rgico.  la depleci\u00f3n de antioxidantes como el gutation durante 48 horas fosforila a erk1\/2 en c\u00e9lulas gliales e induce muerte de neuronas en un modelo mixto de neuronas y de gl\u00eda mesencef\u00e1lica. La presencia o ausencia de c\u00e9lulas gliales determina. La resistencia de las neuronas dopamin\u00e9rgicas frente a la depleci\u00f3n de glutation (gsh). En los cultivos mixtos donde la poblaci\u00f3n glial representa un 60% al deplecionar el gsh induce una muerte selectiva de las neuronas dopamin\u00e9rgicas. La activaci\u00f3n persistente de erk media la muerte de las neuronas en el modelo de neurona\/gl\u00eda, y adem\u00e1s erk se activa selectivamente en c\u00e9lulas gliales astrocitos y
