Varios \u00f3xidos de metales de transici\u00f3n relacionados con la espinela limn204 se evaluaron como c\u00e1todos de 5 v frente a li+\/li. Utilizando un exceso del reactivo de li en la preparaci\u00f3n del lini0.5mn1.504 se obtienen fases de alta pureza que presentan buen comportamiento electroqu\u00edmico. Mediante la sustituci\u00f3n de mn y ni por otros metales de transici\u00f3n se obtuvieron nuevos materiales. As\u00ed, la incorporaci\u00f3n de peque\u00f1as cantidades de ti (lini0.5tixmn1.5-x04) conduce a una mejora neta de la cristalinidad, que tiene su reflejo en un aumento de la capacidad reversible y de la retenci\u00f3n en ciclos sucesivos. La extracci\u00f3n de li conduce a la aparici\u00f3n de arias fases c\u00fabicas con distintos par\u00e1metros de red.  en la nueva serie de composici\u00f3n liniyco1-2y;n1+yo4, se observan part\u00edculas m\u00e1s grandes y con formas geom\u00e9tricas m\u00e1s regulares al aumentar el contenido en ni, lo que tiene un efecto positivo en el comportamiento electroqu\u00edmico. se obtuvieron de composici\u00f3n licoxfeymn2-(x+y)04, estudiados mediante difracci\u00f3n de neutrones y rmn, observ\u00e1ndose mejor ocmportamiento electroqu\u00edmico para y=0.2 y x=0.8. Durante la oxidaci\u00f3n se observ\u00f3 la contracci\u00f3n de la red en un mecanismo de una sola fase c\u00fabica.  varios \u00f3xidos de metales de transici\u00f3n se evaluaron como \u00e1nodos en bater\u00edas de i\u00f3n-li. La presencia de peque\u00f1as cantidades de mg en ni6-xmgxmno8, con estructura de nacl defectivo, mejora el comportamiento electroqu\u00edmico. la reacci\u00f3n de estos compuestos con li implica la reducci\u00f3n reversible de los iones de metales de transici\u00f3n, observada por espectroscopia m\u00ed\u00b6ssbauer de 57fe, y la p\u00e9rdida irreversible de la cristalinidad del material.
