Se plantea la viabilidad de un sistema automatico de medicion de parametros morfologicos en vertebras aisladas, a partir de su proyeccion axial mediante las herramientas que proporcionan los algoritmos de reconocimiento de patrones en vision artificial. La base de datos recopilada se utiliza tambien como conjunto de aprendizaje para esquemas de clasificacion con los que se investiga la identificacion objetiva de cada nivel vertebral.
