Los metodos desarrollados se basan en el empleo de la espectrofotometria ultravioletavisible y en la automatizacion de las medidas en sistemas de flujo, tanto en fia como en flujo parado.  los procedimientos puestos a punto se han aplicado al analisis de muestras de aguas naturales con excelentes resultados, tanto por lo que se refiere a la exactitud como a la precision y rapidez de las medidas.  en la memoria se incluye un procedimiento rapido para la hidrolisis alcalina de formetanato empleando un horno de microondas, que permite llevar a cabo esta reaccion en solo 150
