L) a nivel diploide constituye otro m\u00e9todo complementario al sistema cl\u00e1sico de mejora. Se compone de tres fases prinpales: la obtenci\u00f3n de clones dihaploides a partir de variedades tetraploides, la formaci\u00f3n de poblaciones diploides mejoradas, y el retorno al nivel tetraploide.  en la presente tesis se han estudiado los aspectos b\u00e1sicos de cada fase.  se han conseguido dihaploides realizando cruzamientos entre cultivares tetraploides y s. Phureja. Posteriormente se evaluaron dihaploides en cmapo y a virus y con el f\u00edn de formar poblaciones mejoradas y se realizaron cruzamientos entre los mejores dihaploides y especies silvestres de inter\u00e9s consiguiendo familias con buenas caracter\u00edsticas.  por \u00faltimo, se retornaron al nivel tetraploide de buenas carcter\u00edsticas mediante los m\u00e9todos de duplicaci\u00f3n mei\u00f3tica, utilizando diplogametos no reducidos, y mediante duplicaci\u00f3n mit\u00f3tica.  la duplicaci\u00f3n mit\u00f3tica se realiz\u00f3 empleando los agentes mit\u00f3ticos colchicina y oryzalina, apareciendo la oryzalina como m\u00e1s eficaz en la obtenci\u00f3n de tetraploides.  mediante los dos m\u00e9todos de retorno al nivel tetraploide se han conseguido clones tetraploides de buenas caracter\u00edsticas.
