Para la caracterizaci\u00f3n de estas propiedades en los compuestos preparados se utilizan las pertinentes t\u00e9cnicas, que incluyen las electroqu\u00edmicas (voltamperogramas, etc), espectrofotometr\u00eda uv-visible-nir, espectroscop\u00eda m\u00ed\u00b6ssbauer, epr adem\u00e1s de c\u00e1lculos te\u00f3ricos, aparte de las t\u00e9cnicas rutinarias en la caracterizaci\u00f3n estructural de compuestos org\u00e1nicos (ir, rmn, masas).  el \u00faltimo cap\u00edtulo aporta una visi\u00f3n global sobre distintos procesos de estabilizaci\u00f3n de cationes en alfa al ferroceno, que confluyen en un intermedio diferrocenil-metilio aislado, apoy\u00e1ndose tanto en sus datos espectroc\u00f3picos como en los geom\u00e9tricos obtenidos a partir de los c\u00e1lculos ab initio
