Su contenido se divide en tres cap\u00edtulos.  el primer cap\u00edtulo se encuentra dividido en dos partes bien diferenciados:  en la primera se describe la s\u00edntesis de nuevas oxazolidinonas fluoradas quirales enantiom\u00e9ricamente puras.  en la segunda se describe su uso como auxiliar quirales en reacciones de alquilaci\u00f3n y condensaci\u00f3n ald\u00f3lica comparandola con su an\u00e1loga no fluorada, la \u00aboxazolidinona de evans\u00bb, auxiliar quiral ampliamente usado en el \u00e1mbito de estas reacciones.  el segundo cap\u00edtulo se divide en tres apartados:  en el primero se estudia la preparaci\u00f3n de uracilos y tiouracilos fluorados en el carbono de la posici\u00f3n 6 mediante reacciones en disoluci\u00f3n.  en el segundo apartado se estudia la preparaci\u00f3n de uracilos y tiouracilos fluorados en el carbono de la posici\u00f3n 6 mediante reacciones en fase s\u00f3lida aprovechando la gran diversidad de sustituyentes que se pueden introducir.  en el tercer apartado del cap\u00edtulo, se estudia la reactividad de los productos obtenidos en las dos secciones anteriores frente a reacciones de alquilaci\u00f3n del nitr\u00f3geno de la posici\u00f3n 1 y se aborda la s\u00edntesis de dos nuevas familias de uracilos fluorados bic\u00edclicos a trav\u00e9s de reacciones de met\u00e1tesis como etapa clave.  en el tercer y \u00faltimo cap\u00edtulo se detalla la s\u00edntesis amidinas vin\u00edlogas fluoradas que, siguiendo con la qu\u00edmica heteroc\u00edclica, sirven de intermedios para la s\u00edntesis de 2-pirimidionas
