Una aproximaci\u00f3n a su \u00e9poca y su t\u00e9cnica art\u00edstica, nos aportar\u00e1 datos sobre la t\u00e9cnica espa\u00f1ola o experiencia aportadas a j\u00f3venes pintores, ya que el pintor pinta al fresco en Madrid varios ambientes del palacio real (entre los cuales encontramos la prestigiosa sala del trono). Para ello, nos centramos en el estudio del cartonaje o estudios previos, bocetos o dibujos que el pintor realizaba en el estudio de la t\u00e9cnica, para posteriormente aplicarlo en c\u00fapulas o paredes en las que giambattista pintaba a fresco, en colaboraci\u00f3n con un \u00abquadraturista\u00bb que preparaba las arquitecturas simuladas, en las se inserian las escenas narrativas.  profundizaremos en la t\u00e9cnica pict\u00f3rica de la \u00e9poca, ya que este, fue un pintor extremadamente vers\u00e1til, capaz de moverse en numerosos campos del arte y adaptarse a compa\u00f1eros, a nuevas t\u00e9cnicas y a dimensiones muy diversas. ya que siempre se vio atra\u00eddo por los experimentos de giambattista piazzetta y de sebastiano ricci.
