Una vez producida la bebida experimental, se ha comprobado su estabilidad, sabor etc. De manera que fuera viable desde el punto de vista comercial. Posteriormente hemos estudiado la aplicaci\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica de dicha bebida en deportistas de buen nivel competitivo. En este sentido se escogi\u00f3 a 20 ciclistas de nivel nacional, a los cuales se someti\u00f3 a un test espec\u00edfico para determinar el vo2m\u00e1x. A continuaci\u00f3n se dise\u00f1\u00f3 un test rectangular de una hora al 75% del vo2m\u00e1x, tras el cual se le suministr\u00f3 al deportista un litro de  bebida  durante una hora, realiz\u00e1ndose posteriormente un nuevo test rectangular tambi\u00e9n al 75% del vo2m\u00e1x hasta el agotamiento. En todos ellos se determin\u00f3 la lactacidemia, glucemia e iones. A la semana siguiente, se les someti\u00f3 a los deportistas a otra experiencia id\u00e9ntica pero con otra bebida control. El sistema empleado fue de doble ciego y el an\u00e1lisis estad\u00edstico consisti\u00f3 en un an\u00e1lisis de varianza correspondiente a un dise\u00f1o factorial con intercambios (cross-over).   la bebida experimental produjo una hiperglucemia muy marcada (p<0,0003), aument\u00f3 la natremia (p<0,0475) y disminuy\u00f3 la lactacidemia del test posterior a su ingesta
