Dentro de las distintas partes que componen un sistema de val: adquisici\u00f3n, extracci\u00f3n de caracter\u00edsticas y clasificaci\u00f3n, el estudio se ha centrado en la \u00faltima, proponiendo el uso de redes neuronales artificiales (rna), como clasificador discriminante. Se entrena una rna por individuo a verificar (cliente), de manera que aprenda a diferenciar entre muestras pertenecientes al cliente, y muestras pertenecientes al resto de la individuos, gen\u00e9ricamente denominados impostores; para lograrlo la red entrenada con ejemplos de ambas clases.  los trabajos realizados se pueden dividir en 3 grandes bloques:  1. Estudio comparativo del rendimiento de las rnas frente al de los modelos de mezcla de gaussianas (mmg), los m\u00e1s utilizados en verificaci\u00f3n de locutores. los resultados al usar como rna un perceptr\u00f3n multicapa (multilayer perceptron, mlp), muestran un comportamiento similar al de los mmg para vez telef\u00f3nica (la de mayor inter\u00e9s desde el punto de vista pr\u00e1ctico), siendo, a veces, incluso algo superior. En esta parte del trabajo tambi\u00e9n se ha estudiado la influencia de distintos par\u00e1metros del sistema basado en mlp, como son: el tama\u00f1o de la red, la normalizaci\u00f3n del vector de entrada y el m\u00e9todo para igualar el tama\u00f1o de la red, la normalizaci\u00f3n del vector de entrada y el m\u00e9todo para igualar el tama\u00f1o de los conjuntos de entrenamiento.  2. An\u00e1lisis del rendimiento del sistema resultante de la parte anterior (sistema base) siguiendo una evaluaci\u00f3n est\u00e1ndar: la propuesta por nist (national instutute of standards and technology, usa), la m\u00e1s importante a nivel mundial en val, y usando el subcorpus de la base de datos en castellano ahumada propuesto en las evaluaciones de los a\u00f1os 2000 y 2001.  3.
