El objetivo del trabajo ser\u00e1 estudiar las diversas formas de un fen\u00f3meno que es t\u00edpico del biling\u00ed\u00bc\u00edsmo, la alternancia de c\u00f3digos (la yuxtaposici\u00f3n de distintas variedades ling\u00ed\u00bc\u00edsticas en una \u00fanica manifestaci\u00f3n de habla), y se basa en datos provenientes de conversaciones llevadas a cabo por tril\u00edng\u00ed\u00bces en espa\u00f1ol, ingl\u00e9s y gallego pertenecientes a una comunidad gallega en londres, para as\u00ed descubrir el comportamiento del habla de este grupo biling\u00ed\u00bce espec\u00edfico. Con este prop\u00f3sito, se llev\u00f3 a cabo un an\u00e1lisis secuencial, puesto que esta teor\u00eda estudia la alternancia de c\u00f3digos como un fen\u00f3meno perteneciente al \u00e1mbito de la conversaci\u00f3n y puede dar una explicaci\u00f3n conversacional y pragm\u00e1tica del fen\u00f3meno. El an\u00e1lisis est\u00e1 basado en la grabaci\u00f3n de cuatro conversaciones que tuvieron lugar entre distintos grupos de triling\u00ed\u00bces en espa\u00f1ol, gallego e ingl\u00e9s. Uno de los objetivos primordiales de la tesis era averiguar en qu\u00e9 punto del cont\u00ednuo de auer se encontraba dicha comunidad.  se explica lo que se entiende por la mezcla de c\u00f3digos (cm) en este trabajo. el t\u00e9rmino procede y se desarrolla a partir del concepto de \u00abcode-switching\u00bb o cambio de c\u00f3digos (cs), que es la alternancia en el uso de dos variedades (o c\u00f3digos) por uno o m\u00e1s participantes durante un episodio interactivo. sin embargo, cuando el uso de estos c\u00f3digos diferentes se convierte en el norma, la alternancia de c\u00f3digos pasa de ser un cambio a ser una mezcla, cm, o sea una variedad por s\u00ed sola. Dicho de otro modo, en el cambio de c\u00f3digos (cs) los c\u00f3digos se yuxtaponen de modo funcional\/significante, mientras que en la mezcla de c\u00f3digos (cm) los c\u00f3digos se utilizan alternativamente sin que esto sea un hecho que merezca atenci\u00f3n o que se note ni que se relevante pragm\u00e1ticamente.
