Mi tesis parte de la hip\u00f3tesis de que el estado de naturaleza concebido por rousseau puede ser interpretado como el fundamento te\u00f3rico de aquella parte de la \u00e9tica ambiental preocupada por dar respuesta a las relaciones supra-espec\u00edficas, o de la especie humana con especies no humanas. Estas hip\u00f3tesis tambi\u00e9n es el eje vertebrador del trabajo. La primera parte tiene por objeto demostrar que las relaciones entre el salvaje y el bosque en el estado de pura naturaleza tienen un car\u00e1cter normativo, regulativo m\u00e1s que propiamente descriptivo. la segunda parte es la confirmaci\u00f3n de la hip\u00f3tesis: la demostraci\u00f3n de que rousseau deseaba restablecer en el estado de sociedad el equilibrio que caracterizaba las relaciones del salvaje con la naturaleza en el estado natural.  este trabajo pone de manifiesto que entre rousseau y la \u00e9tica ambiental el beneficio es mutuo. Por una parte, la \u00e9tica ambiental puede aprovecharse y explotar para uso propio virtualidades de la obra de rousseau, tales como el contrato entre el benefactor y el reconocido o su original interpretaci\u00f3n del derecho natural. Por otra parte, el enfoque ambientalista es una buena herramienta hermen\u00e9utica, en la medida en que nos permite comprender mejor la obra del fil\u00f3sofo.
