En la provincia de salamanca, existen yacimientos mineros de uranio considerados fuente de radiaci\u00f3n, es por ello que se ha pretendido caracterizar a un grupo de alteraciones moleculares (p53\u00f1, mib-1, ttf-1, h-ras, k-ras, grb-2, raf-1, ref, tpo, galectina-3, tiroglobulina, bcl-2, ck19, cd31, e-cadherina, egfr y her-2), relacionadas con las carcinomas papilares, evalu\u00e1ndolas tanto en los focos tumores como en las afectaciones ganglionares de 58 pacientes con carcinomas papilares de tiroides diagnosticados en el hospital cl\u00ednico de salamanca durante el periodo 1994-2002. Se empelaron t\u00e9cnicas de inmunohistoqu\u00edmica, cish y western  blot. As\u00ed como la utilizaci\u00f3n de matrices de tejido, supliendo el m\u00e9todo convencional de corte histol\u00f3gico completo, obteniendo una concordancia del 95,2% entre ambos m\u00e9todos. Encontrando por tanto, que las prote\u00ednas que mejor permiten identificar el papilar de tiroides son citoquerafina 19 y gelatina-3. La prote\u00edna funcional, tpo (peroxidasa toridea), es la que sufre mayor alteraci\u00f3n en las c\u00e9lulas tumorales que integran el carcinoma papilar de tiroides. El fenotip proteico observado en las c\u00e9lulas fumorales, es m\u00e1s heterog\u00e9neo en los focos tumores, que en los glanglios, manteni\u00e9ndose el patr\u00f3n morfol\u00f3gico. Las c\u00e9lulas tumorales presentes en el glanglio linf\u00e1tico presentan alto \u00edndice de proliferaci\u00f3n, alteraci\u00f3n en cd31, p53 y sobreexpresi\u00f3n de c-erbb-2. En la v\u00eda de ras, sos1\/2 puede ser activada por grb-2 o por el receptor de membrana egfr, nivel al cual se podr\u00eda actuar famacol\u00f3gicamente. En los tumores \u00fanicos, se observa reordenamiento del oncogen ret\/ptc y ambas isotormas de ras. si adem\u00e1s hay afectaci\u00f3n ganglionar, se altera cd31 y egfr. Los tumores con m\u00faltiples focos, acumulan una nueva alteraci\u00f3n, que es la p\u00e9rdida de e-cadherina.
