Dolores <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El da\u00f1o oxidativo ha sido implicado en la patogenia de distintas enfermedades oculares. La cirug\u00eda de catarata es el procedimiento quir\u00fargico m\u00e1s frecuente, y se ha implicado a los radicales libres como posible mecanismo patog\u00e9nico.  hemos realizado 2 ensayos: uno \u00abin vivo\u00bb y otro \u00abin vitro\u00bb para evaluar la capacidad antioxidante de 3 viscoel\u00e1sticos (ves), utilizando en la cirug\u00eda de catarata. En el estudio \u00abin vitro\u00bb se midieron niveles del producto de peroxidaci\u00f3n lip\u00eddica mda en homogenado de retina bovina, mediante hplc, en un modelo de peroxidaci\u00f3n espont\u00e1nea, con la protecci\u00f3n de los 3 ves del estudio (svs18, viscoat y healon), demostr\u00e1ndose la capacidad antioxidante de los mismos, sin hallarse diferencias estad\u00edsticamente significativa entre ellos.  en el estudio \u00abin vivo\u00bb se evalu\u00f3 el da\u00f1o endotelial provocado despu\u00e9s de la exposici\u00f3n a distintas concentraciones de h2o2, mediante la tinci\u00f3n verde janus y posterior medida con espectrofot\u00f3metro.  todos los ves del estudio protegieron el endotelio frente a la acci\u00f3n oxidativa del h2o2, siendo superior el svs18 frente al viscoat y al healon.  como conclusi\u00f3n, la adici\u00f3n de sustancias aceptoras de radicales libres (como el manitol en el svs18) mejora el efecto protector endotelial de los ves, y puede ser \u00fatil en casos de cirug\u00eda complicada o de patolog\u00eda corneal endotelial previa.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral \u00ab<strong>Propiedades protectoras del svs18 en un modelo experimental de da\u00f1o endotelial por radicales libres<\/strong>\u00ab<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>T\u00edtulo de la tesis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Propiedades protectoras del svs18 en un modelo experimental de da\u00f1o endotelial por radicales libres <\/li>\n<li><strong>Autor:<\/strong>\u00a0  Garc\u00eda Manzanares M.
