El sistema de b. Lactofermentum es el menos activo y posee los ribosomas mas degradados. Los sistemas de traduccion preparados a partir de e. Coli, b. Lactofermentum, s.  lividans y a. Tumefaciens muestran una sensibilidad variable a la accion de las rips, aunque las rips de una cadena activas sobre e. Coli lo son en mayor o menor medida sobre los ribosomas de las otras bacterias. El efecto de las rips sobre el ribosoma depende de la concentracion de magnesio y por tanto de la conformacion ribosomica. Existen posibilidades de clonacion de alguna de las rips sobre estos sistemas ya que en muchos casos han mostrado ser inactivas sobre los ribosomas bacterianos.
