Tambi\u00e9n y aunque se ha asociado la p\u00e9rdida de heterocigosidad en otros cromosomas con la progresi\u00f3n tumoral hacia formas de grado ii y iii, hasta ahora no se han identificado con claridad, de entre los posibles genes candidatos ubicados en esos cromosomas, aquellos responsables de dicha progresi\u00f3n.  por todo esto se ha planteado llevar a cabo, en una serie de 105 meningiomas espor\u00e1dicos: un an\u00e1lisis mutacional (en genes localizados en 1p y 22q) utilizando las t\u00e9cnicas de pcr-sscp y un an\u00e1lisis epigen\u00e9tico, en las islas cpg de una serie de genes relacionados con el fen\u00f3meno turmoal, utilizando la metodolog\u00eda msp. Todo ello con vistas a despejar las inc\u00f3gnitas planteadas, proponer mecanismos alternativos de p\u00e9rdida de expresi\u00f3n en el gen nf-2 y definir un patr\u00f3n de metilaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfico de meningiomas.  los resultados obtenidos nos permiten concluir que:  1,- la mutaci\u00f3n del gen nf2 junto con la metilaci\u00f3n aberrante del promotor de este gen tiene un papel decisivo en la g\u00e9nesis de meningiomas espor\u00e1dicos.  2,- la hipermetilaci\u00f3n, en la mayor parte de los genes estudiados, jugar\u00eda un importante papel en la patog\u00e9nesis y progresi\u00f3n de meningiomas.  3,- el papel que juega tp73 en la progresi\u00f3n de meningiomas estar\u00eda relacionado m\u00e1s con la p\u00e9rdida de expresi\u00f3n mediada por hipermetilaci\u00f3n.
