Bas\u00e1ndose en el trabajo realizado hasta ahora en torno a estas resinas, se ha llevado a cabo la s\u00edntesis de diferentes prepol\u00edmeros fenol-formaldehido en la empresa bakelite ib\u00e9rica s.A. Para ello se han utilizado relaciones molares de ambos mon\u00f3meros f\/p, entre 1,0-2,2 utilizando la trietilamina como catalizador b\u00e1sico. A su vez, la s\u00edntesis de una resina de f\/p=1,8 catalizada con hidr\u00f3xido s\u00f3dico ha servido para el estudio del efecto del catalizador.  as\u00ed, la tesis se puede resumir como un estudio en el que se analizan las diferencias de las resinas mencionadas. Se estudian los efectos de los diferentes par\u00e1metros sobre el propio prepol\u00edmero, sobre su posterior proceso de polimerizaci\u00f3n (estudiado mediante ftir y dsc), as\u00ed como sobre su comportamiento como producto final, en lo que se refiere tanto a sus propiedades mec\u00e1nicas como al comportamiento que presentan frente a altas temperaturas.  igualmente, se ha llevado a cabo la modificaci\u00f3n de uno de los prepol\u00edmeros resol, utilizando para ello dos termopl\u00e1sticos de tipo polivinilbutiral, de diferente masa molecular, siendo este procedimiento de modificaci\u00f3n un campo poco trabajado en resinas fen\u00f3licas.
