Los tejidos tumorales producen diferentes factores angiog\u00e9nicos, fundamentalmente el factor de crecimiento vascular endotelial (vegf) y el factor de crecimiento fibrobl\u00e1tico b\u00e1sico (bfgf), que act\u00faan sobre receptores situados en las c\u00e9lulas endoteliales d\u00f3nde estimulan la angiog\u00e9nesis. Estudios anteriores han demostrado un aumento de la angiog\u00e9nesis en el c\u00e1ncer de pr\u00f3stata y lo han relacionado con una mayor agresividad tumoral.  existen escasas referencias en la literatura respecto a la angiog\u00e9nesis en la lesi\u00f3n precursora del c\u00e1ncer prost\u00e1tico o neoplasia intraepitelial de alto grado (pinag).  nuestro trabajo ha demostrado un aumento de angiog\u00e9nesis en la neoplasia intraepitelial de alto grado, junto a un aumento en la expresi\u00f3n de los factores angiog\u00e9nicos vegf y bfgf y de sus receptores flt-1 y flk\/kdr.  en el c\u00e1ncer prost\u00e1tico hemos demostrado una correlaci\u00f3n entre la angiog\u00e9nesis, mediante la valoraci\u00f3n de la densidad vascular y la expresi\u00f3n de los factores angiog\u00e9nicos y de los receptores y los par\u00e1metros cl\u00ednico-patol\u00f3gicos de agresividad y pron\u00f3stico del c\u00e1ncer prost\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
