Como resultado, se ha sintetizado un buen n\u00famero de 1-pirrolinas de un modo bastante simple, con rendimientos \u00fatiles desde el punto de vista de la s\u00edntesis.  tambi\u00e9n se ha  investigado el mecanismo del fotoproceso, empleando una aproximaci\u00f3n cl\u00e1sica (estudio de productos, estudios cin\u00e9ticos, efecto del disolvente, an\u00e1lisis de la selectividad, etc.) Y, desde un punto de vista te\u00f3rico, usando  las t\u00e9cnicas computacionales (principalmente la estrategia caspt2\/\/casscf) para calcular energ\u00edas de los estados excitados, superficies de energ\u00eda potencial e intersecciones c\u00f3nicas.  como resultado de este estudio combinado, se ha elaborado una propuesta mecan\u00edstica completa para la fotorreacci\u00f3n: un proceso directo, no concertado, sin intermedios de reacci\u00f3n (y, por tanto, un proceso ultrarr\u00e1pido, en el orden de los picosegundos), pero con car\u00e1cter de birradical en las estructuras calculadas en la superficie de potencial de estado s1.
