Cristina <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Durante el desarrollo, la angiog\u00e9nesis cerebral es un proceso regulado por factores de crecimiento derivados del neuroectodermo que se unen a receptores expesados en las c\u00e9lulas endoteliales. Ya en el adulto, y en condiciones normales, la mayor\u00eda de las vasculatura cerebral est\u00e1 quiescente, pero puede proliferar en respuesta a varios est\u00edmulos.  el igf es un factor tr\u00f3fico que pertenece a la familia de factores tr\u00f3ficos de la familia de la insulina. Se expresa de una forma muy regulada y participa de forma esencial en procesos de diferenciaci\u00f3n, crecimiento y desarrollo tisular. Dado el car\u00e1cter peliotr\u00f3pico del igf-i \u00e9ste podr\u00eda participar en fen\u00f3menos angiog\u00e9nicos en el cerebro adulto.  en este trabajo hemos comprobado que igf-i se comporta como un factor proangiog\u00e9nico en el cerebro adulto. Esto lo consigue a trav\u00e9s de la modulaci\u00f3n de mol\u00e9culas proangiog\u00e9nicas en el endotelio cerebral y en los astrocitos, participando activamente en procesos de proliferaci\u00f3n y tubulizaci\u00f3n.  el igf-i participa adem\u00e1s en angiog\u00e9nesis fisiol\u00f3gica como ocurre en el ejercicio y patol\u00f3gica como ocurre en la lesi\u00f3n traum\u00e1tica cortical. Sus efectos no se limitan fen\u00f3menos sino que tambi\u00e9n se comporta como un regulador metab\u00f3lico en el endotelio cerebral. Ampk es un importante regulador de las acciones deligf-i. Cuando se estimulan las rutas por separado ambos incrementan un est\u00edmulo angiog\u00e9nico coo es la producci\u00f3n de vegf,y tamib\u00e9n incrementan la captaci\u00f3n de glucosa y el metabolismo endotelial.
