Para obtener m\u00e9todos adecuados en cuanto a sensibilidad, selectividad y tiempo de an\u00e1lisis se hace uso de la t\u00e9cnica lc-ms\/ms. En esta tesis, se ha demostrado el gran potencial que presenta esta t\u00e9cnica para el an\u00e1lisis ambiental mediante la puesta a punto de distintos m\u00e9todos para la determinaci\u00f3n de plaguicidas y productos de transformaci\u00f3n en muestras de aguas y suelo a niveles inferiores a 0.1 \u00c2\u00b5g\/l. Las buenas caracter\u00edsticas anal\u00edticas que presentan estos m\u00e9todos los hacen adecuados para su utilizaci\u00f3n en programas de control, en este sentido se han aplicado satisfactoriamente los m\u00e9todos desarrollados a programas de control de aguas subterr\u00e1neas y superficiales del \u00e1rea mediterr\u00e1nea. por otro lado, se han desarrollado m\u00e9todos para la determinaci\u00f3n de metabolitos de plaguicidas en fluidos biol\u00f3gicos como suero y orina con el fin de evaluar la exposici\u00f3n a estos plaguicidas por parte de agricultores expuestos. los m\u00e9todos han resultado ser m\u00e1s adecuados que los anteriormente existentes basados en la determinaci\u00f3n de la actividad acetilcolinester\u00e1sica.
