Las interneuronas se han clasificado en diversas poblaciones en base a sus caracter\u00edsticas morfol\u00f3gicas y a la expresi\u00f3n de diferentes prote\u00ednas, las cuales son responsables de que cada poblaci\u00f3n de interneuronas tenga unas propiedades electrofisiol\u00f3gicas particulares. Entre estas prote\u00ednas se encuentran diferentes tipos de receptores de glutamato, aunque por el momento no est\u00e1n estudiados en detalle los subtipos metabotr\u00f3picos de estos receptores. El objetivo principal de esta tesis doctoral fue caracterizar la poblaci\u00f3n de interneuronas que expresa el receptor metabotr\u00f3pico de glutamato mglur5.  con el empleo de t\u00e9cnicas de inmunofluorescencia observamos la co-expresi\u00f3n del receptor mglur5 en interneuronas que contienen el canal de potasio kv3.1 y la prote\u00edna quelante de calcio parvalb\u00famina. A nivel ultraestructural demostramos con t\u00e9cnicas inmunocitoqu\u00edmicas preinclusi\u00f3n, que mglur5 tiene una disposici\u00f3n perisin\u00e1ptica en las sinapsis que reciben las dendritas de
