Esto es debido a que son capaces de desfosforilar los amino\u00e1cidos conservados treonina y tirosina que se encuentran en el dominio de activaci\u00f3n de las mapks. La actividad de la dsp msg5 es primordial para el mantenimiento de unos niveles bajos de activaci\u00f3n de la ruta de integridad celular en saccharomyces cervisiae. El efecto de esta fosfatasas sobre el mantenimiento de la pared celular es tal que su ausencia confiere sensibilidad celular a rojo congo. Adem\u00e1s, la regi\u00f3n regulatoria amino terminal de masg5 es la responsable de su interacci\u00f3n con la regi\u00f3n amino catal\u00edtica de slt2, la mapk de esta ruta. Ensayos in vivo e in vitro demuestran que ambas prote\u00ednas act\u00faan de manera rec\u00edproca. Msg5 se une y desfosforila a slt2 en condiciones basales; y slt2 se une y fosforila a msg5 en respuesta a la activaci\u00f3n de la ruta de integridad celular.  la existencia de un inicio alternativo de la traducci\u00f3n en msg5 conlleva la presencia de dos isoformas de msg5, que son funcionales sobre slt2 y con igualmente fosforialdas en respuesta a la activiaci\u00f3n de la integridad celular. El hecho de que tras la activaci\u00f3n de la ruta disminuya la interacci\u00f3n de msg5 y slt2, sugiere que slt2 regula la acci\u00f3n de esta prote\u00edn fosfatasa en estas condiciones mediante la
