El modelo propuesto es de tipo estoc\u00e1stico, emp\u00edrico, \u00e1rbol individual, independiente de la distancia, y est\u00e1 definido para cuatro de las regiones espa\u00f1olas con mayor presencia de la especie: andaluc\u00eda occidental, meseta norte, sistema central y catalu\u00f1a. El modelo desarrollado constituye una herramienta de gesti\u00f3n selv\u00edcola, al permitir simular la evoluci\u00f3n y producci\u00f3n de las masas regulares de pinus pinea l. Bajo diferrentes supuestos de gesti\u00f3n  el modelo general permite inferir el valor de variables selv\u00edcolas de inter\u00e9s a partir de un n\u00famero reducido de variables de entrada (di\u00e1metro individual, altura dominante y edad de la masa). Para un instante determinado el modelo estima la altura de cada \u00e1rbol, la forma del fuste, el volumen individual de madera con clasificaci\u00f3n de productos y la producci\u00f3n de pinal. El modelo incluye adem\u00e1s una funci\u00f3n para el crecimiento en altura dominante de la masa y una funci\u00f3n para el crecimiento en di\u00e1metro del \u00e1rbol individual, que permiten definir y caracterizar la evoluci\u00f3n futura de la masa.  para evitar los problemas de inferencia estad\u00edstica derivados de la falta de independencia entre las observaciones, las funciones que componene el modelo general quedan formuladas como modelos mixtos. La inclusi\u00f3n de componentes aleatorios permite dotar al modelo de car\u00e1cter estoc\u00e1stico y facilita la calibraci\u00f3n del modelo para su aplicaci\u00f3n en nuevos
