La reposicion hormonal puede paliar estos efectos.  hipotesis: planteamos la posibilidad de que el ovario injertado pueda evitar los efectos producidos por la castracion. Material y metodos: se realizaron 5 grupos de ratas un grupo control hormonofuncionante, un grupo control castrado, un grupo castrado con injerto ovarico bajo la capsula renal y dos grupos castrados con tto.  estrogenico posterior a la castracion. Se analizaron a los 3 meses femur, utero, injerto ovarico y aorta mediante tecnicas morfometricas. Resultados: el grupo control castrado presento atrofia uterina y disminucion del tama\u00f1o celular y nuclear del epitelio luminal, disminucion de masa osea y cierto aumento de grosor muscular de la aorta. Las ratas injertadas mantuvieron una adecuada masa osea y un estado intermedio de trofismo endometrial. Las ratas con tratamiento estrogenico mantuvieron un buen nivel de masa osea y presentaron cierta patolog\u00eda endometrial, con un buen trofismo uterino.  conclusiones: los injertos ovaricos en ratas castradas mantienen una funcion hormonal adecuada para evitar los cambios producidos en la castracion. La castracion conlleva una perdida de masa osea y una atrofia uterina. Los resultados obtenidos con injertos ovaricos son al menos superponibles a los obtenidos con tratamiento estrogenico. El tratamiento estrogenico sin contrarrestar con progestagenos produjo un aumento en la patolog\u00eda endometrial.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
