En la actualidad se utilizan dos estrategias para detectar la interacci\u00f3n del receptor y el sustrato, extracci\u00f3n del sustrato en membrana y detecci\u00f3n posterior del potencial de esta (ises, chemfets), o bien, estudio de las perturbaciones electroqu\u00edmicas inducidas por el sustrato al receptor (receptores electroqu\u00edmicos).  en la presente tesis doctoral se describe, la s\u00edntesis de 18 macrociclos con entornos dadores blandos (n2s2) o muy blandos (ns2p) de 12 y 14 eslabones con cadenas alif\u00e1cticas largas (estudios en ises) y grupos electroqu\u00edmicamente activos como el ferroceno (receptores electroqu\u00edmicos macroc\u00edclicos). En muchos casos se han optimizado los procesos de s\u00edntesis de los macrociclos, y es de destacar que en el presente trabajo se ha conseguido sintetizar, por primera vez, un bimacrociclo ferroc\u00e9nico de entorno n2s2 y un fosformacrociclo ferroc\u00e9nico de entorno ns2p p-funcionalizado. Todos los macrociclos obtenidos se han caracterizado mediante las t\u00e9cnicas espectrosc\u00f3picas haibutales como son la espectroscop\u00eda rmn, espectroscop\u00eda ir y espectroscop\u00eda de masas.  en la segunda parte del trabajo se realiza un estudio completo de complejaci\u00f3n de los macrociclos en frente de cu(ii), ni(ii), pd(ii) con la intenci\u00f3n de estudiar como afecta el tama\u00f1o y los \u00e1tomos dadores de los macrociclos en la capacidad coordinante de estos. Los complejos sintetizados se han caracterizado siempre que ha estado posible mediante espectrosocpia rmn y por difracci\u00f3n de rayos x.  en el caso de los macrociclos ferroc\u00e9rnicos se ha realizado tambi\u00e9n un estudio voltamperom\u00e9trico mediante voltamperometr\u00eda c\u00edclica (cv) y se han determinado las perturbaciones inducidas sobre el par redox fc+\/fc en funci\u00f3n
