La sobreexpresion de rab17 en una cepa de levadura en la cual se regula la actividad de ck2, ha permitido comprobar la capacidad de ck2 para fosforilar rab17 \u00abin vivo\u00bb. Mediante fosforilacion\/ defosforilacion de rab17 se ha observado que la fosforilacion favorece la dimerizacion de rab17. Se ha demostrado que rab17 se une a dsdna de forma secuencia inespecifica, que esta interaccion requiere un componente estructural y que rab17 no tiene actividad dnasa. La sobreexpresion de rab17 en plantas de \u00abarabidopsis thaliana\u00bb ha demostrado la implicacion de rab17 en la tolerancia al estres osmotico. Estas plantas tienen un crecimiento normal, con un contenido inferior de agua y una mayor capacidad para perder agua bajo desecacion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
