En este trabajo se ha estudiado el ciclo del nitrogeno en una pradera natural bajo un sistema de corte comparando dos tipos de fertilizacion:  una organica en forma de purin de vacuno y una inorganica en forma de nitrato amonico. Las diferencias encontradas entre ambos tipos de abonado se deben a que el purin se comporta como un abono de liberacion lenta. Asi, el primer a\u00f1o, el abonado mineral fue responsable de una mayor produccion, una mayor eficiencia en la utilizacion del nitrogeno, mayores perdidas por desnitrificacion y mayor disminucion del contenido de trebol.
