Diversos ensayos han demostrado que la il2 y las celulas lak tienen efecto antitumoral. La il2 endovenosa a dosis altas en pacientes con neoplasia ha producido respuestas clinicas en ciertos tumores, entre ellos los linfomas, pero a costa de una alta toxicidad asociada al tratamiento. En nuestro estudio, 15 pacientes diagnosticados de neoplasia linfoide en situacion de enfermedad minima residual se han tratado con il2 a dosis bajas por via subcutanea durante 12 semanas. La tolerancia del tratamiento ha sido excelente y se ha podido realizar siempre en regimen ambulatorio. Se han producido cambios inmunologicos importantes, sobre todo proliferacion de celulas nk y generacion de actividad citotoxica lak, que aumentaron durante el primer mes de tratamiento y alcanzaron un \u00abplateau\u00bb que se mantuvo hasta que se suspendio la il2. No se ha producido proliferacion de linfocitos t ni b, ni liberacion de citoquinas secundarias. La generacion de una mayor actividad citotoxica no se correlaciono con un aumento en la supervivencia libre de enfermedad (sle). En un estudio de casos y controles, los pacientes que habian recibido il2 mostraron una mediana de sle mayor que la de los pacientes no tratados, pero con un seguimiento medio de 1 a\u00f1o, este
