Se han realizado ensayos de complejacion con todos los ligandos sintetizados utilizando iones metalicos de transicion, a fin de poder estudiar las preferencias coordinantes de dichos ligandos.  algunos de estos ligandos se han estudiado como sensores en electrodos selectivos de iones obteniendose una respuesta nernstiana en la deteccion del anion perclorato y del cation cobre
