Los resultados de dicho estudio permitieron descartar la operatividad de los mecanismos srn1 y srn2 y proponer la existencia de un ciclo catalitico radicalario, protagonizado por el oxigeno (trazas) y sus derivados, que hace la segunda etapa de la reaccion snar sea mas rapida. Este ciclo se iniciaria por una oxidacion del complejo-sigma por o2 para dar su radical libre. El debilitamiento del enlace c-x por el radical vecino constituiria la fuerza conductora de la reaccion.  el mismo estudio llevo a proponer que cuando el nucleofilo es anionico, este puede asistir la salida del nucleofugo.  con esta propuesta, y como conclusion, estariamos frente a un mecanismo general que explicaria la aparicion de aniones radicales en estas reacciones, la habilidad del fluoruro y del nitro como grupos salientes, la aceleracion de la segunda etapa en las reacciones llevadas a cabo en presencia de nucleofilos anionicos y el efecto del oxigeno.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
