Asi mismo se han estudiado 35 cepas de staphylococcus aureus de origen cunicola. Para la tipificacion fenotipica de las cepas se ha efectuado la comparacion de las cineticas bioquimicas y de crecimiento obtenidas con el sistema vitek. Para la tipificacion genotipica se han empleado las tecnicas de electroforesisen en campo pulsado (pfge) y amplificacion multiple arbitraria (esta ultima solo para las cepas de origen cunicola). Los resultados obtenidos con la comparacion de las cineticas bioquimicas y de crecimiento y con la pfge ha permitido observar una gran heterogeneidad intraespecifica, que en el caso de las cepas de origen canino y felino ha sido mayor desde el punto de vista genotipico, y en las cepas de origen cunicola desde el punto de vista fenotipico. Los resultados obtenidos con la tecnica de amplificacion multiple arbitraria no han sido reproducibles. Tanto la pfge como el analisis de las cineticas bioquimicas y de crecimiento se muestran como buenos sistemas de tipificacion epidemiologica.
