A concentraciones nanomolares, presentes en plasma, la hemoglobina humana inhibe las relajaciones dependientes de endotelio en segmentos aislados de ratas normoglucemicas cuando se encuentra glicosilada a un porcentaje del 9% o mayor, medido como hba1. Este efecto esta mediado por la generacion de aniones superoxido, que inactivan el oxido nitrico endotelial. En las ratas diabeticas se produce, tanto \u00abin vivo\u00bb como \u00abin vitro\u00bb, un deterioro de la funcion endotelial relacionado con el aumento de los niveles de hemoglobina glicosilada en dichas ratas, y se observa la existencia de un umbral para dicho efecto que se situa en el 7,5% de hba1c (equivalente al 9% de hba1).  en el deterioro de las respuestas dependientes de endotelio asociado a altos niveles de hba1c en ratas diabeticas participa la generacion de aniones superoxido.  los resultados sugieren que el incremento de los niveles de hemoglobina glicosilada puede participar en la disfuncion endotelial asociada a la diabetes mediante la generacion de aniones superoxido, contribuyendo al desarrollo de complicaciones vasculares.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
