Hemos demostrado que la se\u00f1al encontrada a 4 ev por caram y gutierrez (1990) de co quimisorbido sobre metales nobles usando pmrs aparece tambien en el espectro de reflectancia diferencial de co quimisorbido sobre pt. Asi mismo hemos demostrado que para que el co se quimisorba sobre pt en metanol y acetonitrilo es suficiente una desoxigenacion cuidadosa de la disolucion, en contra de lo indicada anteriormente por otros autores. Hemos encontrado que el co se quimisorbe molecularmente sobre los tres metales ferreos (fe, co y ni) en el intervalo de ph 3-14 y que el ni es mejor electrocatalizador para la oxidacion del co que los otros metales ferreos. La frecuencia de vibracion de tension del co quimisorbido sobre estos metales aumentaba con el potencial, linealmente en el caso de co y ni. Por ultimo, hemos demostrado que el co quimisorbido sobre ni en medio acido se electrooxida a co2, en lugar de desorberse molecularmente como se sugeria en un trabajo anterior (castro-luna y arvia,
