Juncea y dos virus: un potyvirus, el virus del mosaico del nabo (tumv), y un tobamovirus, el virus del mosaico de la colza (ormv). Frente a ormv se han identificado dos mecanismos de resistencia al movimiento a larga distancia en los ecotipos an-1 y wc-1. Frente a tumv se ha identificado un mecanismo de resistencia al movimiento viral a corta distancia en el ecotipo bay-o.  asimismo se ha caracterizado una respuesta de hipersensibilidad frente a ormv en el ecotipo co-1, independiente del fenomeno de resistencia y, ademas, es termodependiente. En este caso se han estudiado las bases geneticas de este mecanismo, comprobando que esta gobernado por un unico gen dominante de la planta. Se ha profundizado tambien, en el estudio del movimiento a larga distancia de ambos virus ya que han sido encontradas resistencias a dicho movimiento. Todos estos resultados suponen el inicio del estudio de la identificacion y caracterizacion de genes de resistencia y de genes implicados en el proceso de infeccion de estos virus en a.
