El trabajo se ha enfocado en la busqueda de excitaciones de baja energia inducidas por efecto tunel en ceramicas pzt y cristales desordenados de linbo3. En las primeras se ha observado, por primera vez en materiales ferroelectricos, procesos de relajacion por tunel cuantico asociados muy probablemente a las paredes entre dominios ferroelecticos. Esto ha sido posible detectarlo gracias a un dispositivo experimental altamente sensible y preciso. Respecto al linbo3, se han estudiado la capacidad calorifica y la conductividad termica segun se incrementaba el desorden intrinseco (desorden estequiometrico y carencia de oxigeno). A pesar de poseer elevadas densidades de defectos, este material no presenta las propiedades tipicas de un sistema desordenado. Esto se explica porque este tipo de defectos, aunque muy abundante, no puede generar distorsiones elasticas en la red de iones. Ademas, estas tecnicas han sido eficaces para caracterizar estos defectos, y se muestra que los resultados solo son compatibles con uno de los modelos propuestos en la literatura, pudiendose descartar
