En el presente trabajo se presentan diferentes estudios en los que se profundiza en el conocimiento de las funciones de esta proteina asi como en los dominios estructurales de la misma que las llevan a cabo.  entre otros resultados, se demuestra que esta proteina se fosforila en la posicion 302 de su secuencia aminoacidica, y que esta fosforilacion afecta a la resistencia celular a altas temperaturas o condiciones salinas. Tambien se han podido identificar algunos de los dominios importantes para la funcionalidad de esta proteina, al complementar la falta de la proteina p0 endogena con proteinas p0 de otros organismos y
