Las principales contribuciones son:  &#8211; descubrimiento de una bifurcacion de rotura de simetria temporal de la respuesta estacionaria en regimen de dispersion anomalo. Esta inestabilidad tiene importante relevancia en la estabilidad de los pulsos generados en dispositivos opticos actuales tales como los laseres apm (additve pulse mode-locking).  &#8211; se presentan resultados experimentales de biestabilidad optica y doblamiento de periodo en un anillo de fibra de pocos metros estabilizado interferometricamente en su longitud con una precision del orden de las centesimas de longitud de onda optica.  &#8211; se propone un dispositivo de memoria optica basado en polarizacion que permite almacenar, borrar y escribir informacion binaria con una ultra-elevada tasa de repeticion (500 gb\/s) en forma de trenes de pulsos recirculantes.  &#8211; se analiza la dinamica no lineal con fibra altamente birrefringente en el anillo, describiendose una riquisima dinamica. Ademas se descubre el fenomeno de biestabilidad de polarizacion en un dispositivo de anillo de fibra anisotropa.  &#8211; con un modelo muy simplificado, se incluye el fenomeno de difusion estimulada raman, obteniendose multiestabilidad optica y limitacion de potencia en las respuestas estacionarias. Debido a que la se\u00f1al de bombeo recircula en la cavidad, pues esta presenta elevada recirculacion para las se\u00f1ales de bombeo y stokes, se propone un laser raman pulsado y sintonizable de bajo umbral, asi como un laser de inestabilidad modulacional que genera estructuras pulsadas en las dos frecuencias (bombeo y raman).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
