Se ha hecho un repaso a la bibliografia existente referente a incendios de charcos de liquido y equipo sujeto a la accion directa de la llama. Se ha realizado tambien un analisis historico basado en incendios.  2) experimentacion. Se describe la instalacion experimental utilizada para llevar a cabo experimentos a gran escala (charcos de 4 y 12 m2 bajo un deposito de 3m de longitud y 1,2m de diametro. 3) analisis de los resultados. Se ha analizado la reproducibilidad de las pruebas, el calor total y de conveccion emitidos, y la evolucion de las temperaturas en el deposito durante el estado transitorio. Se ha definido un parametro llamado \u00abfactor de obstaculizacion\u00bb para cuantificar el efecto que un obstaculo pruduce sobre el calor total emitido. 4) modelizacion. Se ha desarrollado una correlacion para calcular la temperatura de la llama en funcion de la altura y el tiempo.
