Introducido en el c.I.F. De lourizan antes de 1990, seleccionado el mas interesante para la produccion de madera. Se ha trabajado con materiales hibridos, fundamentalmente entre c. Crenata y c. Sativa.  se ha empleado el analisis de isoenzimas para la identificacion de clones, especies e hibridos, debido a la existencia de varios loci diagnostico entre especies en aconitasa, fosfoglucoisomerasa, fosfoglucomutasa y shikimatodeshidrogenasa, asi como al polimorfismo existente en c. Sativa en fosfoglucoisomerasa y ugp. Los analisis de la variabilidad genetica de marras, caracteres de vigor y calidad de fustes han indicado que para evitar la disminucion de la heredabilidad clonal en vigor y marras, es necesario trabajar con planta de elevada calidad exterior.
