El punto de partida lo constituye una base de datos dendrocronologicos de toda la peninsula, que se usa para realizar un proceso de seleccion relacionado con cada variable climatica. Se obtienen asi cronolog\u00edas de numeros indices, procedentes de varias regiones y dirigidas a la reconstruccion de dicha variable. Esta se realiza mediante regresion sobre componentes principales, llevandose a cabo ademas un procedimiento de calibracion-verificacion mediante bootstrap. La metodolog\u00eda aplicada permite la obtencion de un funcion respuesta macroclimatica, en la que se pone de manifiesto cuales son las variables reconstruibles en todo el territorio a partir de los anillos de los arboles. Para el analisis fitoclimatico se utilizan las series de parametros anuales, de las que se pueden obtener los correspondientes valores supra-anuales. El analisis esta basado en los compendios, que integran los datos fitoclimaticos de un periodo determinado y en las frecuencias interanuales de aparicion de los distintos subtipos, que dan cuenta de la variabilidad. Se realiza tambien un completo analisis de la coherencia del metodo, mediante la comparacion de los resultados obtenidos por distintos caminos, el analisis de la procedencia de las series, la constatacion de las dificultades que surgen al reconstruir zonas muy lejanas y el estudio de los valores fuera de rango. Por ultimo, se lleva a cabo un estudio de la concordancia entre los resultados obtenidos y otros datos disponibles, por noticias historicas y resultados de la dendroclimatolog\u00eda
