Se analizan las propiedades de dichos metodos y se introducen nuevas versiones de los mismos.  concretamente las alternativas propuestas se concentran en la obtencion de mejores resultados de entrenamiento que metodos clasicos como el algoritmo de retropropagacion.  tambien se muestra la ventaja de los metodos bloque para el entrenamiento con datos ruidosos y la posibilidad de utilizar funciones de coste no cuadraticas. Los etudios se realizan para redes progresivas, en la primera parte de la tesis y para redes dinamicas o redes realimentadas en la segunda. Al final de la tesis se presentan resultados de las tecnicas de entrenamiento estudiadas sobre ejemplos reales: el oscilador de van der pol y la prediccion del consumo de energia electrica. Junto a estos casos tambien se ilustran resultados sobre otro tipo de problemas clasicos en redes neuronales.  finalmente, en lo que respecta a tecnicas innovadoras propuestas, destaca el uso
